 John Fish1

Dr. John E. Fish was the founder, builder, and first superintendent of the Massachusetts Hospital School. In 1946, Dr. Fish retired from his position at the school, though he maintained an advisory connection with its Board of Trustees. He delivered a speech at the celebration of Canton's 150th anniversary in 1947. A year later, he died. Services were conducted by the Reverends Richard Warren and Thomas A. Sinclair at the Unitarian Church.
