St. Clement School1
St. Clement's School for Boys was in existence from 1921 through 1950. The building was located on the former James Davis estate, behind the present-day St John's School. In 1888, when Rev. Joshua Bodfish became the pastor for St John's Church, and the Sisters of St. Joseph began teaching at the church's school, the building was planned as a novitiate for the sisters to train teachers in parochial schools.
In 1938, the school had 25 students and 10 faculty members. One of its more notable graduates was James P. Lynch, former head of the Massachusetts Superior Court.
